Luwam A. Tesfaye is a devoted wife and mother of 4. A personal trainer/ life coach by day and a lifestyle blogger/podcaster by night. She left her full-time government career in 2019 to follow her dreams and become an entrepreneur. One of her first projects was to start her blog Luwame.com, where she shares stories on motherhood, relationships, empowerment, and healthy living in the hopes of inspiring and empowering women everywhere to live their best life.

Originally from Eritrea and Ethiopia, Luwam is a first-generation American who grew up listening to stories of her family’s exile from Ethiopia following the Eritrean War for Independence. Growing up with immigrant parents shaped her life and motivated her to pursue international studies and homeland security during her undergrad years at Virginia Commonwealth University.

When not working with clients or on the blog/podcast, she loves reading, writing in her journal, meditating, and, most importantly, spending time with her husband Bini and their four children: Isabella, Lorenzo, Novena, and Lucas. Together the Tesfaye family love to travel, experience new adventures, enjoy game nights, and the coveted Friday night movie with pizza.
