Author
C. L. Holliday-Firmin is a mom, wife, and an award winning author that blends her playful sense of humor and whimsical vision of the world into her work. She is a DMV-born poet who is passionate about improving literacy, while increasing diversity and positive family representation in children's literature. Christal started writing poetry as soon as she could hold a pencil, submitting various pieces to church, school and national poetry contest along the way. After taking a hiatus, this poet decided to step out of the box to share delightful stories after becoming a new parent. Christal's son and husband continue to be her support system and the sparks to her creativity throughout her author journey.
Her 1st book "Mommy & Daddy's Christmas Treat" is a heartwarmimg story that uncovers what the magic of Christmas truly is, the pure essence of family, love, togetherness and new beginnings. Born on Christmas Day, it was no surprise her first book was Christmas related.
C. L. Holliday-Firmin's second book, "You Can Have Your Cake And Grandparents Too!", is a delightful story about a grandson and the love he has for all 6 of his grandparents. This tale features colorful illustrations that aid in describing what makes each grandparent special and the exciting experiences he has with them. It takes a village to raise a child and where better to start than caring grandparents.
