She is a DMV-born poet who is passionate about improving literacy, while increasing diversity and positive family representation in children's literature. Christal started writing poetry as soon as she could hold a pencil, submitting various pieces to church, school and national poetry contest along the way. Her 1st book "Mommy & Daddy's Christmas Treat" is a heartwarmimg story that uncovers what the magic of Christmas truly is, the pure essence of family, love, togetherness and new beginnings. Born on Christmas Day, it was no surprise her first book was Christmas related.
